A freshman guard from Huntersville, North Carolina, Janiah Shular of Belmont Abbey picked up her second straight monthly honor, averaging 9.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in five games during the month of December.
Shular scored in double figures in three of the five games. She collected a double-double with 12 rebounds and 10 points in Belmont Abbey’s thrilling 53-52 overtime non-conference win over Wingate. Shular also had seven steals, five assists and two blocks during the month of December.
