A freshman from Lima, Peru, Daniel Merzthal of Converse helped the Valkyries to a 168-53 win against Warren Wilson this past weekend.
Merzthal concluded his efforts in the meet first in the 50 backstroke (26.10), 50 butterfly (24.10) and 100 IM (54.32).
