In singles, Valtere defeated Newberry's Istha 7-6, 6-1 and Benedict's Olivia Sims 6-2, 6-1. In doubles, the Riga, Latvia native picked up wins over Newberry's Ish Singh and Rosie Harfield pairing, 6-3, at No. 2 doubles and Benedict's No. 3 doubles pairing. The sophomore has yet to drop a doubles set or match this season and is 3-1 overall in singles competition.
