A 5-foot-6 sophomore sprinter, Asoburuenwu earned a pair of event wins and hit two NCAA Provisional Standards this weekend at the Hornet Open in Virginia. She secured first place in the 100 meters after crossing the line in 11.65 seconds, which moves her into the top 10 in NCAA Division II in the event this season. Additionally, she claimed first place in the 200 meters with a time of 24.16 seconds to hit the NCAA standard for the first time this season.
