A sophomore, Jefferson, North Carolina competed in three events at the USC Open and hit an NCAA mark as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team on Saturday. Jefferson crossed the line in a season-best time of 14.46 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles, which was the third-best mark in the conference this season. She also placed eighth in the long jump after posting a distance of 5.39 meters.
The 4x400 meter relay team of senior Vinesha Briggs, senior Natalyah Wilson, sophomore Chianel Asoburuenwu, and Jefferson established another NCAA mark with a time of 3:48.59 to place fifth overall.
