Winstead went 4-0 on the week as Belmont Abbey closed the regular season with a pair of pivotal Conference Carolinas wins against Francis Marion and Mount Olive.
On Friday against the Patriots, he teamed up with Nicholas Cary in No. 2 doubles for a 6-2 win over Luis Lopez Sarasa and Austin Vienna. He then swept Francis Marion's Harri Lloyd-Evans 6-0, 6-2 in No. 2 singles as Belmont Abbey defeated Francis Marion 5-2.
On Saturday against Mount Olive, he again teamed up with Cary again to defeat Lenn Hoffmann and Bram Poe of Mount Olive at No. 2 doubles 6-2. In No. 2 singles, he defeated Niklas Gruenefeldt 6-1, 6-1 and earned the clinching point as the Crusaders defeated No. 22 Mount Olive 4-3.
