Hernandez opened the month with three first place swims to help the Lions top Mars Hill and King and moved to 11-0 in dual meets. She helped the 200 yard freestyle relay touch the wall first before winning the 500 yard freestyle in 5:16.84 and the 1000 yard freestyle in 10:51.29.
At theĀ 2024 Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational that featured eight NCAA Division I programs, Hernandez swam in eight different events for the Lions, and qualified for the finals in two events. The Santiago, Dominican Republic native was a member of the 800 freestyle relay group that set the school record. She qualified for the finals in the 200 yard and 500 yard freestyle, posting times of 1:55.89 and 5:07.76, respectively. She also swam in the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relays, 200 yard medley relay, 100 yard freestyle and 1650 yard freestyle.
