Puentes averaged 3.30 kills per set, reaching double figures twice in three matches last week. He posted 11 kills and six digs against 11th-ranked Grand Canyon before going for 15 kills and .281 attack percentage in a win over Fort Valley State. In the Crusader win, Puentes added a career-high eight blocks, including three solo stuffs. The eight blocks also ranked fourth in program history for blocks in a four-set match. The sophomore closed the week with seven kills against top-ranked Long Beach State.
