A graduate student from Stafford, Virginia, Wright ran the fastest time in all of NCAA Division II so far this season in the 200 meters with a time of 23.58 at the Weems Baskin Relays. The time that shattered the Southern Wesleyan school record is good for 34th in the world (would be seventh in NCAA Division I) presently.
