The Valkyries went 1-1 this past weekend with a loss to Lenoir-Rhyne on Friday night and a 117.5-103.5 win over King on Saturday afternoon. On Friday night, Smith won the 50 yard butterlfy, setting a personal best time of 26.37 seconds. As the anchor leg of the 200 yard medley relay team, Smith led the Valkyries to a first place finish with a time of 1:54.68. As the anchor leg of the 400 yard freestyle relay team, Smith led the Valkyries to a runner-up finish with a time of 3:53.93. On Saturday, Smith won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.38 seconds and she won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 53.35 seconds. As the anchor leg of the 200 yard freestyle relay, Smith and the Valkyries finished second with a time of 1:41.94.
