In February, Karenzi went 7-1 overall, going 4-0 at No. 5 singles and 3-1 at No. 2 doubles. He helped the Panthers defeat Averett for the first time in program history, winning the dual deciding match 7-5, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5) against Alex Rudy. He also took a 6-1 win in doubles over Averett. Karenzi also registered a win over NCAA Division I Longwood, defeating Gary Huang 6-3, 6-3. He also took singles wins over Marymount (Va.), 6-0, 6-2 and Columbia (S.C.) 6-3, 6-2. Karenzi's doubles wins came over Marymount (Va.) 6-2, and Columbia (S.C.), 6-0.
