A freshman from Talavera de la Reina, Spain, Aytun finished the fall portion of King’s 2021-22 schedule a perfect 3-0 in singles. Playing at No. 1 singles, Aytun had wins over UVA Wise, Milligan and Emory & Henry. She defeated Katya Akimenko of UVA Wise 0-6, 6-1, 6-3 on Sept. 11 and followed that up with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 win over Milligan’s Kaitlin Barrett. Aytun secured a 6-1, 6-2 win over Emory & Henry’s Sabina Chernega.
Aytun teamed with Mishka Koricinova at No. 1 doubles to best Payton Holt and Chernega of Emory & Henry, 6-1, to close out the month.
