A graduate student from Glen Spey, New York, Curreri led the Royals at the 42nd Midwest Classic with a fourth-place finish at 184-pounds. Ranked 10th nationally at 184-pounds, Curreri scored 14.5 team points as he won four of his six matches. He earned a 7-0 decision, a fall at 1:23 and a 5-0 decision to advance to the semifinals before a 7-3 decision loss. In the consolation bracket, he earned a 2-1 decision before falling in a 7-4 decision to place fourth.
