The freshman forward/center from Sanford, Florida earned the honor for the second straight month.
Pierce averaged 17.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in Francis Marion’s four games during the month of December. He also had four blocks, three steals and three assists over the course of the month. Pierce shot 67 percent (29-for-43) from the field in December.
The freshman collected two double-doubles on the month with 19 points and 11 rebounds against King and 21 points and 12 rebounds against Lees-McRae. He scored in double figures in all four games during the month with Pierce also finishing with 20 points and four rebounds in a win over Chowan and then 11 points and seven rebounds against Southern Wesleyan.
