A sophomore guard from Columbia, North Carolina, Spencer was strong defensively for Barton in its four games last week, finishing with 15 blocks and five steals in addition to his 14.25 points and 6.25 rebounds per game. He also shot 58 percent (25-of-43) from the field. In Barton’s 83-71 conference win over Erskine on Monday, Jan. 24, Spencer collected 23 points, nine rebounds, four blocks, two steals and one assist. In Barton’s 88-82 win over rival Mount Olive on Wednesday, Jan. 26, Spencer blocked five shots to go along with his 13 points, three rebounds, one steal and one assist. He followed that up a couple of days later with another five blocks to go along with 17 points, six rebounds and one steal in a 91-83 conference road win at North Greenville on Friday, Jan. 28. In Barton’s league game at Belmont Abbey on Saturday, Jan. 29, Spencer had seven rebounds, four points, one block and one steal.
