A sophomore forward from Charlotte, North Carolina, Traore averaged an impressive 15.67 rebounds per game in three Chowan conference wins last week. He also averaged 7.33 points per game to go along with his three steals, two assists and one block on the week. In Chowan’s thrilling 91-83 double overtime win over Erskine on Feb. 1, Traore closed out his evening with 16 rebounds (12 defensive), eight points, two steals and two assists. In Chowan’s 77-74 victory over North Greenville on Feb. 4, Traore collected 11 rebounds (nine defensive) to go with his four points. Traore set a program record with 20 rebounds (15 defensive) in Chowan’s 74-62 victory over Converse on Feb. 5. He had a double-double in the game with 10 points to go with the 20 boards. Traore also had a block and a steal in the win.
