A senior from Beaufort, North Carolina, Rose finished the perfect 4-0 start to the season for Barton hitting .667 (6-of-9) with seven runs scored and six RBIs. Rose collected five of her six hits on doubles. She also stole two bases. Rose was particularly dominant in Barton’s impressive doubleheader sweep of ninth-ranked West Chester, going 5-of-7 at the dish with four doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored. The Barton shortstop hit a game-winning double in the bottom of the eighth inning to lead Barton to a 9-8 victory over West Chester in game two.
