A junior midfielder from Apex, North Carolina, Diaz averaged 4.0 ground balls and 3.0 caused turnovers in Barton’s two games last week. In Barton’s season-opening 16-6 win over Coker on Feb. 15, Diaz had four ground balls and three caused turnovers. She also had four ground balls and three caused turnovers in Barton’s game with Catawba on Feb. 19.
