A senior from Izmir, Turkey, Cakirer secured a hard-fought 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Emma Bentz at No. 1 singles in the 5-2 win for Lees-McRae over Erskine on April 8.
Earlier in the match in doubles, Cakirer teamed with Mei Hiramatsu to collect a 7-5 victory over Szilvia Ferenczy and Katie Lowe at No. 2 doubles. The win was part of a doubles sweep in the match for Lees-McRae.
