A junior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Stafford helped Belmont Abbey stay atop the Conference Carolinas men’s tennis standings last week by going undefeated in singles and doubles.
In Belmont Abbey’s 7-0 win over Francis Marion, Stafford first teamed with Zachary Blythe at No. 2 doubles to best Harri Lloyd-Evans and Martin Barbera, 6-2. Stafford then collected a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Lloyd-Evans at No. 2 singles.
Stafford and Blythe started Belmont Abbey’s 4-3 team win over Mount Olive by securing a 6-2 victory over Gregory Normand and Elios Briand at No. 2 doubles. Stafford then picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Adam Ibrahim at No. 2 singles.
