A graduate student from Clarence, New York, Avarello made 14 saves in Mount Olive’s 18-11 conference victory over North Greenville. The Crusaders had entered the game as the top scoring team in Conference Carolinas at almost 14 goals per game. Avarello also had two ground balls and one caused turnover in the win. Avarello leads all in Conference Carolinas with a 9.89 goals against average.
