A freshman from Willow Spring, North Carolina, Martinez led Barton to a dual win over Chowan last weekend. He posted wins individually in the 100-meter freestyle (55.53) and the 50-meter breaststroke (31.94). In addition, he was part of the 800-meter (8:14.99) and 500-meter (4:55.19) relay-winning teams.
