A junior shortstop from Cumming, Georgia, Gobbel helped the Crusaders go 5-0 during the week as he finished the week 10-for-22 (.455) with five runs scored, 13 RBIs, three doubles, a triple, three home runs and two stolen bases. He opened the week going 3-for-4 with one run and four RBIs with a home run, a walk and a stolen base in a win over Anderson on April 19. In the conference series against Southern Wesleyan over the weekend he finished 6-for-13 with four runs scored and nine driven in with three doubles and a pair of home runs. He slugged an impressive 1.091 with an on-base percentage of .462 and did not commit an error on the week.
