A sophomore from High Point, North Carolina, Tsegay claimed the individual title at the 5k UNCW Beach Blast on Friday, Sept. 9. Tsegay collected a winning time of 15:27.50 to capture top honors. His time was almost 10 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
As a team, Mount Olive finished second in its season opener with four runners listed among the top-15 individual times.
