A freshman from Mauldin, South Carolina, Wright posted an 8k time of 27:29.7 at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Kentucky. In one of the largest cross country events in the country, Wright’s personal-record time was the second-fastest in program history.
As a team, Converse’s men’s team 8k average of 27:43 was the best in program history. The women in finishing third overall in the prestigious event also set a new 5k mark at 19:38.
