Chowan Earns No. 10 Seed in Super Region II of NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship

GREENVILLE, S.C. – After capturing the 2023 Conference Carolinas Men’s Soccer Championship title, the program’s second in three seasons, Chowan is headed to the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer National Championship which begins on Thursday, Nov. 16 in Melbourne, Florida.

The Hawks are 8-4-5 and received the No. 10 seed in Super Region 2 where they will square off against seventh-seeded Lynn (10-2-5) on Thursday at 6 p.m. The winner will advance to the second round on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. They will face the second-seed and host Florida Tech (11-2-4).

Chowan is led by Conference Carolinas first team honorees Harri Lovett and Bradley Binns as well as Conference Carolinas All-Tournament Most Valuable Player and first team honoree, goalkeeper Chase Jansen. They enter the tournament having allowed 18 goals in 17 games. The Hawks average 1.71 goals per game and have a .809 save percentage this season.
