Conference Carolinas set for men's soccer developmental championship

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Conference Carolinas Men’s Soccer Developmental Championship kicks off on Monday, October 20. The men’s preliminary rounds will be hosted by Young Harris College and the University of Mount Olive while the final will be hosted at North Greenville University.

The championship, which is a unique opportunity for developmental teams within Conference Carolinas, features eight teams competing at two preliminary round sites. The championship will then have a final contest on Monday, October 27 at North Greenville between the two preliminary site winners.

The championship starts with four matches at the two preliminary sites. Competing in Young Harris, Georgia will be host Young Harris as they take on North Greenville at 11:00 a.m. King University then takes on Converse University at 1:00 p.m. followed by the consolation match at 3:00 p.m. The championship final match will take place at 5:00 p.m., with the winner advancing to the championship the following week.

The Mount Olive, North Carolina bracket features host Mount Olive taking on Barton College at 11:00 a.m. followed by Francis Marion University squaring off with Belmont Abbey at 1:00 p.m. The consolation match is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. before the final match at 5:00 p.m., with the winner advancing to the championship the following week. All matches will be 60 minutes in length.

The championship concludes at North Greenville on Monday, October 27 in Tigerville, S.C. The championship match pits both preliminary site winners in a 90-minute match at 4:00 p.m.

In the 2025-26 season Conference Carolinas is scheduled to host a developmental championship in men’s soccer, women’s volleyball men’s wrestling, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball. The developmental teams will be composed of student-athletes that have either not competed at the varsity level in 2025-26 or have competed sparingly at the varsity level by the time of the championship.
