GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has released its 2025 football all-conference honors as chosen by the league's head coaches.
Dylan Ramirez of North Greenville University was selected as the offensive player of the year while his teammate
Cillian Bonner earned special teams player of the year.
Omarza Gray of Ferrum College was selected freshman offensive player of the year while
Isaac Walls of Shorter University and
Hunter Turner of UNC Pembroke were tabbed co-offensive lineman of the year.
On the defensive side, UNC Pembroke's
Isi Etute and Barton College's
Keno Jones were selected co-defensive player of the year honorees. Shorter's
Jayden Rubbo was tabbed freshman defensive player of the year.
North Greenville head coach
Nate Garner earned coach of the year honors. Garner led the Trailblazers to the inaugural Conference Carolinas Bowl title, receiving the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Division II Football Championship. North Greenville went 6-0 in league play and ended the regular season with a 7-4 record.
Ramirez led Conference Carolinas with 2,747 passing yards, averaging 249.7 per game with a long completion of 90 yards. He threw for 21 touchdowns and only five interceptions while completing 66.9 percent of his passes (202-302). Ramirez was named Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the week three times, including each of the last two weeks.
Jones led Conference Carolinas with 114 total tackles, ranking second with 57 solo and 57 assisted tackles. He averaged 10.4 tackles per game and added three sacks.
Etute led Conference Carolinas in tackles for loss with 15, including a league-leading five sacks. He posted 12 solo tackles for loss. He finished the season with 50 total tackles, including 28 solo.
Bonner led Conference Carolinas with 15 field goals made on a league-leading 17 attempts for an 88.2 percentage. His long came from 45 yards and he was named Conference Carolinas Special Teams Player of the Week in week 11.
Rubbo posted 35 total tackles for Shorter, including 22 solo and 1.5 sacks.
Gray ranked fifth in Conference Carolinas with 767 receiving yards on 44 receptions. He posted a long of 92 yards and an average of 17.4 yards per catch, ranking him sixth in the league.
