WOMEN'S SOCCER
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Amber Nichole Gillen | Ferrum | Midfield | Sophomore | Phoenix Arizona

Gillen had a pair of game-winning goals to help Ferrum go 2-0 last week. She scored the game-winner at the 81:01 mark to help the Panthers post a 2-1 comeback win over Chowan to start the week. She then found the back of the net in the 55th minute to lift Ferrum to a 1-0 win at Mount Olive on Saturday.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Addison Ellsworth | UNC Pembroke | Goalkeeper | Freshman | Greensboro, North Carolina

Ellsworth was big in goal for UNC Pembroke last week, posting a pair of shutouts. She started with two saves in a 2-0 win over 17th-ranked and previously unbeaten Francis Marion. She then recorded two more saves in a 2-0 win over Barton, running her season total to nine shutouts in Conference Carolinas play.

Kai Thurston | Barton | Defender | Junior | Harleston, England

The defender came up big for Barton on the offensive end last week, netting a pair of game-winning goals for the Bulldogs. He first scored the game-winner in a 2-1 win over Mount Olive before netting a pair of goals in a 6-2 over Virginia State on Saturday.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Ian Milla | Francis Marion | Goalkeeper | Senior | Geiselwind, Germany

Milla played all 180 minutes in a pair of Francis Marion draws a week ago. On the week, he only allowed one goal and made six saves on 20 shots faced. He made three saves in a 1-1 draw with Lenoir-Rhyne before turning away three shots in a scoreless draw at Chowan on Saturday. That draw gave Francis Marion the Conference Carolinas East Division title and top seed in the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship.

Virginia Foard | King | 131 pounds | Sophomore | Madison, Virginia

Foard had a solid start to her season, winning the East Stroudsburg Open at 131 pounds with five wins. She took all five wins by technical fall to earn the title.

Cole Hunt | Montevallo | 125 pounds | Sophomore | Sugar Hill, Georgia

Hunt opened his season with a tournament victory at the Pepsi Patriot Open hosted by University of the Cumberlands. He went 5-0 at the event with two wins by fall and another by major decision at 125 pounds. In the quarterfinals, he defeated NAIA third-ranked Matteo Vargo of Cumberlands 11-5 before topping NAIA 25th-ranked Jordan Rodriguez of Cleary 17-4 in the championship bout.
