FMU's Gartner selected CSC Academic All-American

GREENVILLE, S.C. -The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Academic All-America teams for women’s volleyball and Conference Carolinas had one honoree. Madilyn Gartner of Francis Marion University was recognized.

Gartner earned third team honors following an outstanding year. Gartner previously earned Conference Carolinas Player of the Year honors as well as first team All-Conference Carolinas. She also earned all-region honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Gartner was honored by Conference Carolinas, earning the Builders Services of North Carolina Elite 26 award and was selected the Scholar-Athlete of the Year presented by Hudl.

To qualify for the CSC Academic All-America® program, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and participate in a specified percentage of athletic contests. The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women’s Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
