Conference Carolinas Basketball Developmental Championships to take place this week

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas men's basketball developmental championship preliminary rounds are scheduled take place the week of February 2 with specific dates and times to be determined depending on weather. The date for the men's basketball final site will be determined once all preliminary rounds are completed. The Conference Carolinas women's basketball developmental championship will now take place on Monday, February 9.

The events, which are unique championship opportunities for developmental teams within Conference Carolinas will feature four men's preliminary sites followed by a championship site while the women's bracket will be contested at one site.

Women's Developmental Basketball Championship - CHAMPIONSHIP PAGE | BRACKET

The women's championship will be contested between Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Ferrum College, University of Mount Olive and Young Harris College as Belmont Abbey serves as the host. The schedule is listed below and all games will be live on the Conference Carolinas Digital Network powered by Hudl.

Women's Basketball Schedule – at Belmont Abbey (Monday, February 9)
Game 1 – Mount Olive vs. Young Harris – 11:00 a.m.
Game 2 – Belmont Abbey vs. Ferrum – 1:00 p.m.
Game 3 – Winner of Game 1 vs. Barton – 3:00 p.m.
Game 4 – Consolation Round – 5:00 p.m.
Game 5 – Winner of Game 2 vs. Winner of Game 3 – 7:00/7:30 p.m.

Men's Developmental Basketball Championship - CHAMPIONSHIP PAGE | BRACKET
The men's championship consists of preliminary round games the week of February 2 being played at Erskine College, King University, University of Mount Olive and Shorter University. The winners of the preliminary sites advance to the final site, Belmont Abbey College, where the semifinals and final will be played on a date yet to be determined.

In the 2025-26 season Conference Carolinas is scheduled to host a developmental championship in men's soccer, women's volleyball, men's wrestling, men's and women's basketball and baseball. The developmental teams will be composed of student-athletes that have either not competed at the varsity level in 2025-26 or have competed sparingly at the varsity level by the time of the championship.
