KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The 2026 Conference Carolinas Swimming & Diving Championships opened with three events and solid performances on Wednesday evening.

Day One Recap
UNC Pembroke’s Britta Schwengle won the women’s 1000 yard freestyle with a new conference record and NCAA B standard of 10:19.32. Eulalie Clech of Emmanuel University also posted an NCAA B standard with a time of 10:21.95.
Henry Stockton of Converse University won the men’s 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:36.48.
The University of Montevallo won the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:45.98 while Converse won the men’s event with a time of 1:30.85.
The opening day concluded with UNC Pembroke winning the women’s 800 yard freestyle relay and Montevallo taking the men’s title in 6:45.80.
