Conference Carolinas Tuesday Weekly Award Winners

SOFTBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Alona Hanna | UNC Pembroke | Sophomore | Utility | Lumberton, North Carolina

In seven games last week, Hanna posted a .545 batting average with 12 hits, including three doubles, two triples and three home runs. She also drove in eight runs and scored 14. The sophomore started the week with three runs, two home runs and drove in four in a win over USC Aiken. She later posted a pair of three-hit ames, driving in three and scoring four in a win over Johnson C. Smith. The following day, against Johnson C. Smith, she drove in two while going 3-for-3 with a home run.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Alyssa Poston | Francis Marion | Senior | Pitcher | Hartsville, South Carolina

Poston turned in a pair of complete games, both wins for Francis Marion last week. In three starts, she tossed 20.1 innings, allowing only three runs on nine hits while striking out 22. She closed the week with a 1.03 ERA while holding opponents to a .136 batting average. The senior only allowed five hits in a 6-1 win over Catawba before tossing 6.1 innings in a 3-2 win over 23rd-ranked Kutztown in 10 innings. She struck out nine in the no decision. Poston closed the week with a complete game shutout over Flagler, where she only allowed one hit and struck out five.
 

BASEBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Keypher Contreras | Young Harris | Junior | Outfield | Dominican Republic

In a three-game sweep of Barton, Keypher Conteras posted a .778 with seven hits, including four home runs and one triple for a slugging percentage of 2.333. He started with three runs and five runs batted in before launching three home runs the following day. In the contest, he went 4-for-4 with four runs scored and four runs batted in.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Drew Stegura | Belmont Abbey | Senior | Pitcher | Lutz, Florida

Stegura was masterful in an 11-2 Belmont Abbey win over Mount Olive on Friday. He tossed six innings, allowing two runs, one earned on five hits while striking out five.
 

ACROBATICS & TUMBLING
ATHLETE OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Bella Crapis | Wingate | Senior | Base/Tumbler | Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

Crapis competed in 11 heats, including the team event, helping Wingate to wins over Coker and Converse. She helped the Bulldogs to program records in seven heats and six heat scores of at least 9.5, including a program record in the pyramid event. She helped pyramid heat 3 post a perfect 10.00 score and heat 3 score 9.90. In the compulsory event, Crapis helped the Bulldogs score 9.75 in heats 2 and 3 while scoring 9.60 in acro heat 2 and 9.55 in toss heat 1.

SPECIALIST OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners
Gracelyn Grady | Wingate | Senior | Base | Kyle, Texas

Grady helped Wingate to a pyramid score of 29.80 that included a perfect score. The Bulldogs scored their first 10.00 in pyramid heat 3 while scoring 9.90 in both pyramid heats 1 and 2. That mark set a new Wingate program record in the pyramid event by more than one full point.
