Wingate's Parker, Grady earn national weekly awards from NCATA

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Chloe Parker and Gracelyn Grady of Wingate University were selected National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Division II Athlete and Specialist of the Week.

Parker, a base and tumbler from Waldorf, Md., was tabbed NCATA Division II Athlete of the Week. She competed in 10 heats and team event for Wingate this week. Her performance was highlighted by four scores of 9.75 or higher, including a 10.0 in open pyramid and a 9.90 in synchronized pyramid.

Grady, a senior base from Kyle, Texas, was a standout in the pyramid event and was selected NCATA Division II Specialist of the Week. Her performance included a 10.0 in the open pyramid and a pair of 9.90 scores in the inversion and synchronized heats.
