GREENVILLE, S.C. – Three Conference Carolinas men’s basketball players earned All-Southeast Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). Carl Cleveland was selected as the Southeast Region Player of the Year and he was joined by Gerren Jones of Ferrum College and Jaquay Randolph of Southern Wesleyan University.

Cleveland, the Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Championship Most Valuable Player, garnered region player of the year and first team honors. He was tabbed NABC/D2 CCA National Player of the Week on January 6 and garnered Conference Carolinas Player of the Week twice and defensive player of the week once.

Cleveland currently ranks second in the region and eighth in NCAA Division II with 15 double-doubles, trailing only Randolph. He also leads the region and ranks sixth in the country with 243 field goals while his 191 free throw makes rank fourth in the region and eight in the nation. The senior ranks second in the country and leads the region with an average of 26.4 points per game while ranking fifth in the region with an average of 8.5 rebounds per game.

Randolph earned second team honors as he leads the country with 25 double-doubles. He garnered NABC/D2 CCA National Player of the Week on February 10 and earned Conference Carolinas Player of the Week once and defensive player of the week three times. He finished the season with averages of 20.8 points and 15.4 rebounds per game. He leads the country in rebounding and ranks fourth in the region in scoring. Randolph ranks second in the country in free throws attempted in fourth with 212 makes.

Jones was selected second team after averaging 22.2 points per game, which ranked him third in the league and fourth in the region. He shot 45.7 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from three-point range. That three-point percentage ranked him fourth in the league. Jones also ranked sixth in the league with an average of 1.5 steals per game.

The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners sponsored the All-Region teams. The first team selections are now eligible for All-America honors. Those selections will be announced on March 24.
