In the first outdoor meet of the season, Colwell won the discus throw at the UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational. She posted a mark of 43.52 meters which ranks third in school history.

Slate posted a school record in winning the 400 meters at the UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational. She covered the distance in 55.21 seconds.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Antoine King | Mount Olive | Sophomore | Throws
At the UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational, King registered three top-six finishes, highlighted by winning the discus throw. He marked a discus throw of 52.15 meters, which ranks third in school history. He also finished third in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.91 meters and sixth in the shot put with a mark of 13.95 meters.

Meltsaiev won the 800 meters and finished runner-up in the 1500 meters at the UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational. He covered the 800 meter distance in 1:57.08 and the 1500 meter distance in 3:59.59.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Emma King | Mount Olive | Sophomore | Infield | Dillon, South Carolina
In six games last week, King posted a .667 batting average with 14 hits, eight runs batted in and five runs scored for Mount Olive. She also ripped one home run and one double. She registered three hits in each end of a doubleheader sweep over Ferrum where she scored twice and drove in three. She then posted three hits in a twinbill against sixth-ranked Francis Marion. In the game two Trojan win, King went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two runs batted in. She closed the week with five hits in a doubleheader against UNC Pembroke, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs batted in and one run scored in game three.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Summer Bullard | UNC Pembroke | Senior | Pitcher/Infield | Pembroke, North Carolina
Bullard went 3-0 last week for UNC Pembroke with a 1.27 ERA in 22.0 innings pitched. In that time, she only allowed four runs on 17 hits and struck out 24. She tossed a complete game, defeating sixth-ranked Francis Marion 5-4 where she allowed four runs on nine hits and struck out five. She then tossed all eight innings in a 1-0 win over Chowan where she struck out 11 and allowed five hits. Bullard closed the week by tossing all seven innings, allowing only three hits and striking out eight in a 4-0 win over Mount Olive.
BASEBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Wilmer Henriquez | Shorter | Senior | Infield | New Brunswick, New Jersey
In four games last week, Henriquez hit .545 with six hits, five of which were home runs for a 1.909 slugging percentage. He also drew seven walks and finished the week with a .6684 on base percentage. In a win over Morehouse, he went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three runs batted in. He then ripped four home runs in a three-game series win over King. He blasted two home runs in the series opener where he drove in three and scored twice. Henriquez drew three walks in that contest and then drew two walks in each of the final two games against King where he hit a home run in each contest. He drove in three in game two against King and scored twice in the series finale.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Drew Stegura | Belmont Abbey | Senior | Pitcher | Lutz, Florida
Stegura tossed seven innings and earned the win against a UNC Pembroke team that is ranked or receiving votes in all three national baseball polls. In the outing he only allowed two runs and three hits and struck out four in the 10-7 Belmont Abbey win.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Ashlyn Shively | Lander | Junior | Top | Pinehurst, North Carolina
Shively competed in 10 heats for Lander against 11th-ranked Saint Leo. She helped the Bearcats outscore the Lions in four different heats as they scored 9.75 in compulsory toss, 9.65 in acro heat 1, 9.70 in toss heat 1 and 8.95 in toss heat 2. Shively also contributed to scores of 9.15 in compulsory acro, 9.45 in compulsory pyramid, 7.10 in compulsory tumbling, 8.5 in acro heat 2, 9.35 in pyramid heat 1, 9.50 in pyramid heat 2, 9.65 in pyramid heat three and 7.400 in tumbling quad pass.

Martin was solid for Lander in the toss event in their meet against 11th-ranked Saint Leo. She helped toss heat 2 outscore Saint Leo with a score of 8.95 and helped the toss heat 3 group score 9.20 out of 9.40.
