GREENVILLE, S.C. – For the third time this season, a Conference Carolinas acrobatics & tumbling athlete garnered a national weekly award from the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA). Ashlyn Shively of Lander University was selected Division II Athlete of the Week.
Shively, a junior top and tumbler from Pinehurst, N.C., competed in 12 heats and team event for Lander last week. Her performance was highlighted by a score of 10.0 in the compulsory pyramid and a 9.90 in open pyramid.
Conference Carolinas previously had NCATA Division II Specialists of the Week of February 25 and March 4 and the Athlete of the Week on February 25.
