SUMTER, S.C. – Belmont Abbey College won their fifth straight Conference Carolinas Men’s Tennis Championship title on Saturday, defeating the University of Mount Olive.
Second seed Belmont Abbey defeated top seed Mount Olive 4-1.
Mount Olive took the doubles point with wins at the first and third flights, but the Crusaders were stellar in singles play. Belmont Abbey won singles matches at the second and third flights as well as the fifth and sixth flights to take the title.
Belmont Abbey earns the automatic bit into the NCAA Division II Men’s Tennis Championship. The selections will be announced on NCAA.com on Monday, May 4.
