GREENVILLE, S.C. – North Greenville University earned the Conference Carolinas regular season baseball title and the top seed in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Baseball Championship. The tournament is scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 29 at CaroMont Health Park in Gastonia, North Carolina with three games also being played at Sims Legion Park.
The regular season title is sixth for North Greenville and fourth in the last five years. The Trailblazers finished with a KPI of 0.218, going 28-5 in league contests and 42-8 overall. Francis Marion University earned the second seed with a KPI of .160. the Patriots own a league mark of 27-6, going 40-10 overall.
Belmont Abbey College is the third seed with a 0.137 KPI and Young Harris College is the fourth seed with a KPI of 0.127. With a KPI of 0.082, UNC Pembroke is the fifth seed and the University of Mount Olive is the sixth seed with a KPI of 0.047. Those six teams are automatically in the double elimination portion of the bracket.
Seventh seed, Erskine College finished with a KPI of 0.036 and Emmanuel University is the eighth seed with a KPI of 0.002. The final two teams in the tournament are King University at ninth with a KPI of -0.072 and Southern Wesleyan University at 10th with a KPI of -0.104.
The tournament starts with King (13-35, 10-23) taking on Emmanuel (21-28, 16-17) at 1:00 p.m. and Southern Wesleyan (16-34, 10-23) facing Erskine (26-24, 20-13) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both of those contests are single elimination games.
The double elimination portion of the bracket starts on Thursday with four games, the first at 11:00 a.m. with the King-Emmanuel winner facing North Greenville. The first game at Sims Legion Park starts at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday and will feature Young Harris (35-15, 24-9) and UNC Pembroke (32-16, 21-12). Francis Marion then takes on the Erskine-Southern Wesleyan winner at 3:00 p.m. before the day completes with Belmont Abbey (36-12, 26-7) taking on Mount Olive (28-19, 20-12) at 7:00 p.m.
