FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners

Kyleigh Pollock | UNC Pembroke | Sophomore | Jumps | Lumberton, North Carolina
Pollock registered a UNC Pembroke school record in the triple jump at the VertKlasse Meeting where she finished fifth overall and second among NCAA Division II competitors. Her leap of 12.00 also reached the NCAA provisional mark.

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Haniyyah Johnson | Mount Olive | Senior | Jumps/Sprints | Farmville, Virginia
Johnson finished fourth at the VertKlasse Meeting in the 100 meter hurdles where she posted an NCAA provisional time of 13.81 seconds.

Antoine King | Mount Olive | Sophomore | Throws
King finished fifth in the elite section of the discus at the VertKlasse meeting with an NCAA Division II provisional mark of 54.89 meters.

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Leland Smith | Mount Olive | Sophomore | Sprints | Greenville, North Carolina
Smith finished fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.29 seconds. The time set a Mount Olive school record and hit the NCAA Division II provisional standard.
 

SOFTBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners

Chloe Locklear | UNC Pembroke | Junior | Catcher | Pembroke, North Carolina
Locklear posted a .625 batting average last week with five hits, including two home runs, four runs scored and seven runs batted in. The junior posted two hits and drove in three with a home run in game one against Ferrum before launching another home run, collecting three hits and driving in four in game two.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Jenna Walling | Francis Marion | Graduate | Pitcher | Johns Island, South Carolina
Walling posted a win and a save for Francis Marion in a doubleheader sweep of Mount Olive. She tossed all seven innings in game one, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out four. She then recorded the final two outs of the game two 4-3 victory to earn the save. For the week she finished with an ERA of 2.74 in 7.2 innings pitched where she allowed three runs on eight hits.
 

BASEBALL
PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners

Riley Orr | Francis Marion | Senior | Infield/Utility | Maryville, Tennessee
In four games last week, Orr posted a .438 batting average with seven hits, seven runs batted in and three runs scored. He also slugged three doubles and added a pair of walks and a stolen base. The senior posted two hits, two walks and drove in three in a nonconference win over Newberry before posting five hits in a Conference Carolinas series against UNC Pembroke. He drove in one on two hits in game one before collecting three hits, including two doubles and driving in three in a game three win over the Braves.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Previous Winners
Kasen McCawley | UNC Pembroke | Senior | Pitcher | Haw River, North Carolina
McCawley posted another stellar outing this week, holding the second-ranked offense in NCAA Division II in terms of batting average to one run on four hits. The senior tossed all seven innings to defeat 11th-ranked Francis Marion 9-1 as he allowed only one run on four hits. In the complete game victory, McCawley added six strikeouts and held the Patriots to a .174 batting average.
 

ACROBATICS & TUMBLING
ATHLETE OF THE WEEKPrevious Winners

Gracelyn Grady | Wingate | Senior | Base | Kyle, Texas
Grady competed in nine heats for Wingate in their wins over Montevallo and Newberry that clinched the regular season title for the Bulldogs. She helped the Bulldogs to eight scores of at least 9.45, including a program-best compulsory scores. Wingate posted a program record scores of 9.45 in the compulsory acro heat and matched the record in the compulsory pyramid heat with a score of 9.75. The compulsory score of 37.95 also set a program record. Grady also helped the Bulldogs post scores of 9.70/9.95 in acro heat 1, 9.65/10.00 in pyramid heat 1, 9.80/10.00 in pyramid heat 2 and 9.80/10.00 in pyramid heat 3, 9.60/9.90 in toss heat 1 and 8.80/9.40 in toss heat 2.
