GREENVILLE, S.C. – For the fourth time this season, a Conference Carolinas acrobatics & tumbling athlete garnered a national weekly award from the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA). Karli Woody of Wingate University was selected Division II Freshman of the Week.
Woody, a top and tumbler from Courtland, Va., competed in eight heats and team event for Wingate. Her performance was highlighted by a 9.80 in synchronized pyramid and a 9.75 in compulsory toss.
Conference Carolinas previously had NCATA Division II Specialists of the Week of February 25 and March 4 and the Athlete of the Week on February 25 and April 1.
