Coker, Montevallo advance to 2026 Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling semifinals

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The 2026 Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship started on Tuesday with a pair of quarterfinal meets at Coker University and the University of Montevallo. Both hosts took wins, advancing to Saturday’s semifinals.

Third-seeded Montevallo jumped out to a lead in following the compulsory event and didn’t look back as the Falcons held a 93.35-86.20 lead at the half. The Falcons then extended their lead in the second half to defeat sixth seed King University 252.700-234.715.

Montevallo advances to face second seed and 12th-ranked Lander University. The meet will take place at Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia and will start at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Fourth seed Coker took the lead in the compulsory event and extended the advantage in the acro event. Fifth seed Mars Hill University cut into their deficit by winning the pyramid event, 29.35-27.25, but Coker still led 163.595-161.325 at the half. The Cobras extended their lead in all three second-half events to take the contest 254.495-252.175.

Coker will take on top seed and 14th-ranked Wingate University. The semifinal meet is scheduled for Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Emmanuel.

The Conference Carolinas Event Finals will take place on Sunday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. with the championship meet to follow that evening at 5:00 p.m.
