GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has announced staffing changes for the 2026-27 academic year. Anna Schwieger resigned while Daven West and Madison Davis were added to the staff.
Schwieger spent four years with Conference Carolinas and served as the assistant commissioner for sport administration and governance. She will be transitioning to spending more time with her growing family and supporting her husband’s career.
“I am so thankful for the ability to work with Conference Carolinas and the membership over the last few years,” said Schwieger. “It has been a blessing to be a part of the growth and development of the conference. At this time, I will be stepping away from sports to support my husband and family as a wife and mom. I am very grateful for the memories while with Conference Carolinas.”
Schwieger’s last day will be Friday, August 29.
West joins the conference office as the director of championships following a two-year stint at Lincoln Memorial University, where she served as an athletic administration graduate assistant. She also served as support staff for the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) at four spring championships.
With the SAC, West supported the SAC championship operations at the indoor and outdoor track & field, basketball, and beach volleyball championships. She assisted in numerous areas, including award preparation, promotions, hospitality, and merchandising.
“I am excited to step into the role of director of championships and continue building on my experience in event and championship operations,” West said. “I am thankful for the opportunities the SAC and Lincoln Memorial University have provided me, and I look forward to building strong relationships with our member institutions while creating a first-class championship experience for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans.”
While in Harrogate, Tennessee, West managed the game day operations for the Railsplitters that included facility setup, event workers, and the timeliness for each home event. She served as the game day operations manager for the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Southeast Region Championship, where she coordinated all the logistics for the seven visiting teams and officials as well as team hospitality, tournament signage and participant communication.
West also assisted with budget oversight, as well as ticket sales, event management, and campus safety, to help guarantee all events ran smoothly. West helped launch athletic department programming and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) meetings and developed a campus engagement of more than 500 students. She was also the primary liaison for the L Club, the University’s booster club, and secured new corporate partnerships for Lincoln Memorial.
West earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 2024 from Converse University before earning her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management from Lincoln Memorial in 2026.
West’s first day will be Wednesday, July 29.
Davis joins the conference staff as the operations coordinator following her graduation from Converse with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies in 2026. While on campus, Davis served as a captain of the softball team and was a member of the Converse SAAC.
“I am incredibly excited to join Conference Carolinas during this time of transition and growth,” Davis stated. “I look forward to being able to give back to the conference and community that has helped me grow.”
She also served as an intern in the office of alumni relations, helping assist in coordinating more than five major alumni engagement events before serving as a Nisbet Honors Program Intern. While there, Davis continued to engage with alumni in an effort to increase the response potential and improve alumni engagement.
Davis’ first day will be Monday, August 3.
