Belmont Abbey's Osborne Named Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College attack Liam Osborne has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 25 - Mar. 3, the Conference announced today. This marks the second POTW for Osborne and the third overall for Belmont Abbey.

Osborne, a senior from Bowmanville, Ontario, led No. 4 Belmont Abbey to a 2-0 record last week after posting 12 points on seven goals and five assists with seven ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Osborne started the week with four goal and three assists for seven points with four ground balls in an 18-6 rout of Barton. Osborne then put up five points on three goals and two assists with three ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 14-13 win over No. 19 Rockhurst. 

Osborne currently ranks first in Conference Carolinas in points (37) and goals (23), while ranking second in assists (14).

 

Also nominated for Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week:
Thomas Cecere (North Greenville) - Posted five points on five goals in one game.
Tyler Papa (Limestone) - Posted four points on four goals in one game.
Tyler Keele (Mount Olive) - Posted eight points on five goals and three assists with six ground balls in two games.
