Six Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Players Named to United Soccer Coaches Scholar Teams

KANSAS CITY, MO. – Six Conference Carolinas men's soccer players were recognized as 2018 United Soccer Coaches Scholar Team selections by the United Soccer Coaches Association recently.

Of the six selections, two were first team and four were second team. Limestone College tallied four Scholar All-Region selections, while Lees-McRae College collected two selections.

Limestone's Jose Reigada and Kristian Moore-Cowell were named to the scholar all-region first team. Two more Saints were tabbed second team scholar all-region in Mirko Ronchi and Roberto Ortega Lopez, while being joined by Lees-McRae's Harvey McMorrow and Pol Vassart on the team.

Lees-McRae's Vassart and the Limestone trio of Moore-Cowell, Ortega Lopez and Reigada were named third team Scholar All-America selections.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University.
