INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Lees-McRae College will represent Conference Carolinas in the 2019 NCAA Division II Softball Championship, it was announced by the NCAA on Monday (May 6) morning.
Lees-McRae (21-17) earned the No. 8 seed in the Southeast as an automatic qualifier after winning the 2019 Conference Carolinas Softball Championship. The Bobcats will compete in Southeast Regional I, which is hosted by No. 1 seed North Georgia in Dahlonega, Ga. Lees-McRae will face top-seeded North Georgia in round one of the regional on May 9 at 4:30 p.m.
Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University.
