49 Conference Carolinas Indoor Track and Field Athletes Named Division II All-Region Honorees

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – All-Region honorees for the NCAA Division II indoor track and field season were recognized on Tuesday (Feb. 26) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

A total of 1,612 student-athletes from 157 institutions earned All-Region honors nationwide with 801 honorees coming from the men’s side and an additional 811 selections from women’s teams. 

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-5 individuals in their event in their respective region. In addition, each member of a region’s top-3 relay teams was also selected for the distinction. The eight regions used in NCAA DII are the Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West. Also, only athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions are eligible for the award.

Conference Carolinas had 49 individuals, 26 men and 23 women, receive Southeast all-region honors. Of the 49, 11 women received all-region recognition in multiple events, while nine men received all-region honors in multiple events.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University.
