HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College forward Meg Crawford has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 12-18, the Conference announced today.
A sophomore from Blountville, Tenn., Crawford led the Bobcats to an 83-74 win over Livingstone in their lone game last week. She would score 27 points on 11-for-15 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 from the charity stripe. Crawford would secure a double-double by grabbing 12 boards and also swatted away three shots in the contest.
Crawford currently averages 14.7 points on 60.7% shooting with eight rebounds and four blocks per game. Her blocks per game rank first in Conference Carolinas, while her field goal percentage and rebounds per game rank third and sixth, respectively.
Also nominated for Women's Basketball Player of the Week:
Kori West (King) - Averaged 20 points, nine rebounds, two steals and one assist in one game.
Allie Downing (Belmont Abbey) - Averaged 17 points, 8.5 rebounds, five assists and 1.5 blocks in two games. Posted one double-double.
Jayla Morrow (Limestone) - Averaged 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in one game.
Kianna Wynn (Barton) - Averaged 22 points, 13.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in two games.
Iva Krstevska (Southern Wesleyan) - Averaged 14.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and two steals in three games.
Breanna Locke (Emmanuel) - Averaged 12 points and six rebounds in two games.
Karen Donehew (North Greenville) - Averaged 40 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one block in one game.
