Mount Olive's Havens Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive guard Felecity Havens has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 26 - Dec. 2, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Lorain, Ohio, Havens had a big week for the Trojans, averaging 42 points on 59.6% shooting with 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 assists per game in a pair of wins.

In an 88-83 win over Francis Marion, Havens broke a 22-year-old Mount Olive record when she scored 49 points on 17-for-27 shooting, including 4-for-6 from three-point range and 11-for-14 from the charity stripe. She would register a double-double in the game with 10 boards to go with two assists, one steal and one block.

Havens would follow up her performance with a 35-point outing in a 69-67 win in Mount Olive conference opener against King. She would go 14-for-25 from the field, including 3-for-5 from three and 4-for-4 from the freethrow line. Havens would add nine rebounds, three steals, two blocks and one assist to her game totals.

Havens currently averages 27.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Her points per game rank first in Conference Carolinas, while her blocks and rebounds per game rank fifth and eight, respectively.

Niya Goudelock (Limestone) - Averaged 20 points, four assists, three rebounds and one steal in one game.
Alexis Scott (Erskine) - Averaged 16 points, 10.5 rebounds, two blocks and one steal in two games. Posted one double-double.
Meg Crawford (Lees-McRae) - Averaged 13.5 points, nine rebounds and two blocks in two games.
Ashley Sides (Converse) - Averaged 19 points, three rebounds and one assist in two games.
