HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Leah Hanle and North Greenville's Shekinah Wilder have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for meets held April 2 - 8, the Conference announced today.
Hanle, the reining track athlete of the week, had another strong performance at the 54th Annual Colonial Relays this weekend in Williamsburg, Va. Hanle ran an NCAA Automatic qualifying time in the 10,000m to mark her third this season with a time of 34:09.11, beating her own personal record in the event and finishing first in a competitive field.
North Greenville's senior from Aiken, S.C., Shekinah Wilder, also shared impressive accomplishments in her field performance this weekend at the Susan Rouse Invitational in Central, S.C. Wilder hit a new lifetime best mark in the long jump with a leap of 5.63m (18' 5.75") to finish first in the event and set a new program record for the Crusaders.

Julia Otranto (Belmont Abbey) - 4:57.58 1500m, 11th; 1:09.71 400m hurdles, 18th
